Petra Navrátilová

During her studies, she completed internships in the Painting Studio III and the Figurative Sculpture Studio. She lives in Prague, works at Pragovka, and her profession takes her to various locations across the Czech Republic. In her personal artistic practice, she currently focuses primarily on assemblage and painting techniques. A key aspect of her assemblage work is the use of materials and historical fragments that are considered “waste” in the process of restoration. These include fragments of plaster and old paint layers, overpaintings, nails, and dust deposits. She gives these found elements new meaning by incorporating them into artworks.
