From June 27 to September 19, 2025, Pragovka Gallery is hosting the exhibition Conditions of Art in its newly renovated premises.
The exhibition presents the work of the resident artists of the Pragovka art community. A total of 38 artists, each showcasing two works – one earlier and one recent. The exhibition offers a unique insight into the development of individual artistic practices as well as the collective story of the group. Curator Jana Písaříková has created a selection that reflects continuity, transformation, and the diversity of themes and approaches. At the same time, the exhibition serves as a reflection on the very conditions of artistic creation – the temporality of studios, economic limitations, the role of community, and the relationship to a specific place.
Exhibiting artists: Kateřina Adamová Linhartová, Karíma Al-Mukhtarová, Natálie Akovantseva, Jana Babincová, Filip Černý, Eva Fajčíková, Daniel Hanzlík, David Helán, Anežka Hošková, Martina Chloupa, Jakub Janovský, ka3ka3, Martin Káňa, Terezie Kusbach Kolářová, Veronika Landa, Martina Matoušek, Vladimír Merta, Michaela Munzarová, Oldřich Navrátil, Petra Navrátilová, Richard Nestler, Pasta Oner, Róbert Palúch, Anna Pleslová, Jana Preková, Martina Riedlbauchová, Marcel Rozhoň, Tomáš Ruller, Štěpánka Růžičková, Zuzana Růžičková, Dana Sahánková, Pavel Šimíček, Adam Štech, Pavel Tichoň, Pavel Trnka, Martin Vlček, Ladislav Vlna, and Lawrence Wells
