Workshop

A workshop intended for complete beginners who have never sewn on a machine before and for those who have tried it before and would like to take home a piece of clothing sewn by hand.

Complete beginners will learn the basics of sewing machines, fabrics, threads and sewing supplies. They will get to know the basic types of stitches and seams. They will try sewing on a machine step by step to gain confidence and get rid of worries. They will take home a self-sewn cushion cover or canvas bag.

For those who want to start sewing clothes, a cut for simple shorts or a wrap skirt will be prepared.

What to take with you to the workshop?
If you have your own sewing machine, bring it with you. If you don't own a machine, we'll lend you ours.

To begin with, we will sew from cotton canvas. For the cover, bag or shorts, bring 1.5 m of cotton canvas (thicker material for the bag, thinner material for the cover and shorts) of your choice and two spools of thread that you want to use for sewing - universal threads for sewing on a sewing machine, e.g. Unipoly. For the skirt, bring 2.5 m of cotton canvas and thread of your choice, eg Unipoly thread.

Duration of the workshop: 4 h
Price: 300 CZK with own sewing machine / 450 CZK without own sewing machine
Payment: In cash on the spot
