DJ Black Dumpling / Exhibition's accompanying program

Pragovka Gallery invites you to the accompanying program of the exhibition Podmínky umění, showcasing works by the current Pragovka artists, taking place on Thursday, July 24th from 6 PM.

The program will begin at 6 PM with a presentation of the residency outcome by Len Creutzburg, currently participating in the Pragovka Gallery artist in residence program. Len Creutzburg (b.1994, NL), born in Breda, currently lives and works in Eindhoven. Their mixed-media practice explores how identity is shaped by cultural conditioning, intergenerational trauma, and memory. During the Pragovka Gallery residency, Len has been working on a new series of sculptures, experimenting with new materials, textures, pumps, and the spatial placement of the works.

What are the current conditions for making art? What factors influence the creation and quality of an artwork? Time, resources, ideas, everyday life, and historical memory. At 6:30 PM, a guided tour will follow, accompanied by a discussion on the exhibited works and their meanings, inspired by the story of Raoul Hausmann, who lost most of his works due to historical circumstances yet managed to inscribe himself into art history. Join the exhibition tour with its curator Jana Písaříková and artists Kateřina Adamová Linhartová, Anežka Hošková, Richard Nestler, Veronika Landa, Štěpánka Růžičková, Martina Riedlbauchová, and others.

From 7:30 PM onwards, you can look forward to a music program presented by DJ Black Dumpling. A current emerges from the dark landscape behind the eyes. DJ Black Dumpling is the alter ego of visual artist Anežka Hošková, a member of A.M.180 Collective and the head of the Ruin of Romantics platform. She doesn’t play sets — she performs rituals. Waves of sound that shift the air. Fragments of memory, shimmer at the edge of night. An intuition that hears before the mind does.
