The residency interest is to produce an interactive performance and sound installation that plays with ambivalence in the relationship between polycultures and monocultures, up against anthropocentric knowledge production and interspecies correlations. The question for research is to what extent technological developments can come to terms with new materialist notions of ‘affect’, ‘symbiosis’, ‘sympoesis’, and ‘cyborgs’ in a real and applied sense. They have an idea to produce an installation which will be a site in which soil ecologies are split between polycultures and monocultures, creating new ecologies as the installation processes over time.
