Eva Jaroňová / Open Studio

Eva Jaroňová graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts in Brno (Environmental Studio). She has completed residencies at LHI in Reykjavik and ASP in Warsaw. Her work exists at the intersection of visual arts, design, and illustration. She publishes her paintings in the form of experimental zines (Kudla Press, Hurikán Press), exhibits in galleries with a focus on installations and objects (Galerie Kostka, Prague; Patyolat, Budapest; Galeria Studio, Warsaw), and also incorporates them into textile design.The themes of her work range from personal (phobias, anxieties) to global issues (climate change, utopian visions of the future, feminism). Dark humor contrasts with the softness of watercolor painting in her creations.
