The (A)ction comedy Is It Worth It? reveals the behind-the-scenes world of the art market through a single unusual artwork. The film brings together the ambitions of collectors, gallery owners, and artists. What happens when a wooden turtle, a robbed grandmother, the “king of debt enforcement,” naked dancers, and a homeless man all collide? A ruthless satire from the producers of Examination of Art, directed by Jan Strejcovský, the film explores the real value of artworks in contrast to their market price, offering a universal portrait of artists who trade their brand – sometimes at the expense of their own morality. Which artistic creation will ultimately remain in history? The film features key figures of the Czech art market, including Zdeněk Sklenář, Olga Trčková, and René Rohan, as well as their “protégés” among artists such as Jiří David, Dante Daniel Hartl, and Epos 257.
