Summer Cinema / Four Mothers

We’re serving up the ninth edition of the Summer Cinema at Pragovka – this time under the overarching theme of Mutual Benefits. This year, screenings will take place every Tuesday after dark in MaxSpace Hall, located behind the Permanent Beer Fest. Admission is free (voluntary contributions are welcome). Until the screening begins, you are welcome to visit Pragovka Gallery during its extended opening hours. Refreshments will be available from Permanent Beer Fest.

On 28 July, we will screen Four Mothers (89 min).

The film will be shown in its original language with Czech subtitles.

Edward is a writer. His book, which has been very successful in Ireland, is about to be launched on the American market, and he is set to go on a promotional book tour across the Atlantic. However, he also has a mother recovering from a stroke, who insistently demands his care. And as if that were not complicated enough, his friends unexpectedly fly off to Spain for an impromptu Pride holiday and leave their mothers – four eccentric, combative and completely different women – at his doorstep, or rather in his living room.
