Richard Nestler

He was born in Germany. He studied in the Czech Republic at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague in the studio of intermedia with Milan Knížák, his domain is painting and drawing. In painting, he works in cycles, where the medium of painting itself is important rather than the theme, and the nostalgic, sometimes even gloomy atmosphere, which winds through the individual cycles, from which the cycle inspired by childhood deviates. Richard Nestler spent this at a turning point before and after the fall of the Wall in East and West Germany. According to the author, children's experience of safety and happiness is "mixed with memories of escape and emigration and the associated fear and insecurity." Richter. In drawings, he then processes intimate moments, stories of things around him, when the way of drawing refers to vector graphics, diligence and precision in their creation, when in some cases the resulting drawing is the sum of several previous ones, then relativizes the transience of digital drawings.
