Michal Synek

Synek's gestural paintings have one thing in common with the animation and that is the element of movement. For example, he depicts a jumble of inner feelings through an abstract cluster of human bodies with an emphasis on interconnectedness and a procedural character defining itself against stativity but always working in overall harmony in the final form. In his most recent work, we can see he was inspired by calligraphy and a tendency towards minimalism, characteristically reduced to a "study" of movement itself.
