The closing evening of the residency of Czech visual artist Lucie Vobr Jestřabíková offers an opportunity to meet the artist, explore the outcomes of her month-long stay, and gain insight into her working process.

Her practice focuses on the theme of touch and its transformative potential. She approaches the destructive gesture not as a negative act, but as a chance to express emotions and open a path towards the creation of something new. Her works often emerge from fragile materials—paper, adhesive tape, or porcelain—which she carefully transforms into surprising forms. Through the simple act of continuous pencil scribbling, an ordinary sheet of paper can be turned into a hard, metal-like object.
