Greetings from Fukushima / Summer Cinema

Under the baton of Pragovka Gallery, you will have the opportunity to watch a total of 13 films. This time, with the overarching theme of growth and fasting, it will be screened every Tuesday after dark in the Max Space.

Marie is traveling to Fukushima Prefecture in Japan as a volunteer to help the local population after the 2011 nuclear disaster. A young woman fleeing Germany to escape her shattered dreams of a future for herself, she is there to help survivors who, years later, are still living in emergency accommodation. But she soon learns that the task is not for her. Already determined to make another escape, she meets Satomi, a willful woman and the last geisha from Fukushima, who has decided to return to her ruined home in the restricted zone despite the ban. An intimate encounter begins between two different women, each of whom must come to terms with her past.
