Join the figure drawing course led by an experienced lecturer and our long-time resident Pavel Trnka. An artist with nearly fifteen years of experience teaching in colleges and high schools, he will guide you through the basics of figure drawing with a focus on anatomy, proportion, and facial expression. Through exercises, you will learn about drawing techniques and materials to gain practical knowledge and skills. Whether you are a beginner or advanced, this ten-week course is guaranteed to improve your drawing.
The figure painting course is ideal for those who want to improve their drawing skills or prepare for art school entrance exams.
Course date: 14 October - 16 December 2024When: every Monday from 18:30 to 20:30 (14.10. - 21.10. - 4.11. - 11.11. - 18.11. - 25.11. - 2.12. - 9.12. - 16.12., except for the public holiday 28.10., the lesson will be replaced on Friday 1.11.)
What will you need? You don't need to bring anything to the classes. We will provide you with all the necessary materials for the course price.

Pavel Trnka (*1981) is an artist whose work is based on drawing and painting. Since 2008 he has been an assistant professor of drawing and painting at the Ladislav Sutnar Faculty of Design and Art at the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen. He is characterized by large-format angular drawings, through which he depicts various forms of landscape. He finds inspiration in classical Chinese landscape art and philosophy. Since 2016 he has had his studio in Pragovka.
