Phyllostachys nuda / exhibition

Vladimíra Večeřová's solo exhibition delves into the concept of emptiness as a philosophical concept, which she connects with deep listening to oneself, in silence. She does not see the void as an absence and negative moment; on the contrary, it is a space of complete openness and calm, where sound and silence meet in a dynamic relationship. It is the rustling of bamboo, the deep listening that is the active ingredient placed in the gallery to allow the resonance of sounds and thoughts. The rustle as a meditative sound stimulus, illustrates how nature can mediate our deeper connection with ourselves or our consciousness and awareness of space, matter, sound. For if we keep silent, we can restore our lost communication with the world.
