Sundays for families with children / Embroidered Paradoxes

We invite you to the penultimate Family Sunday of this calendar year, taking place on November 9 from 3:00 to 5:00 PM at Pragovka Gallery.
The program titled Embroidered Paradoxes will take us into the exhibition They Won’t Get Us Alive by Czech artist Maud Kotasová. Get tangled up in her threads and enjoy a Sunday afternoon with your children, surrounded by works of art.

What happens to a needle when it digs into metal? And what if embroidery moved from pillows to trash bins or car bodies?
In Maud Kotasová’s work, the world of delicate handcraft meets the world of machines. Here, handwork becomes a symbol of strength, endurance, and patience.

We’ll take inspiration from her approach during the workshop and create our own embroidery experiment. We’ll thread the needle — and perhaps discover that even sewing can be an artistic act of courage.

Ages: 5–12 years

Workshop fee: voluntary contribution (recommended 100 CZK per parent + child). Registration required by November 8 at edukace@pragovkagallery.cz
