Murmuring Matter / Exhibition

Radka Částková and Magdalena Šimurdová share a common foundation in posthumanism, which they explore in the exhibition Murmuring Matter through experimental investigations into the properties of various natural and industrially produced materials, in line with the principles of new materialism.

The artists share a fascination with the inorganic world, rich in sediments and layered rock formations. The installation brings together their material research to date, exploring ores, sand, glass, cement, and plaster and transforming them into new compositions.

Murmuring Matter thus embodies the act of listening to matter itself and to the materials the artists work with.

The exhibition is curated by Ivana Hrončeková.
