We invite you to the next session in the “How to Art” series for adults, which introduces the work of exhibiting artists through art workshops.
The workshop will be led by artist Kateřina Adamová Linhartová, creator of the current exhibition “Endemic Cultivar.” Through her drawings, she explores themes of social roles, invisible masks, and the search for our true identity in today’s world.
We will begin the session right in the exhibition space, where the artist will personally introduce her approach to her work. She will reveal what themes inspire her, why her works come into being, and how she utilises inner experiences, unpredictable emotions, and self-irony in her work. This will be followed by the drawing workshop itself in the studio. Under Kateřina’s guidance, we will focus on classical portrait drawing and the human face. However, our goal will not be merely to capture physical appearance and the outer surface. We will try to look more deeply and, through drawing, capture what is often hidden beneath the social mask: the subject’s character, mood, and true emotions.
