From Matter to Material / Sunday for Families with Children

Children and their parents will dive into the fascinating world of materials and matter that surrounds us. Together, they will explore the difference between raw materials that have existed for ages and were created by nature, and those made by humans. They will discover that the things around us never stay quite the same, but are constantly changing – they can melt, harden, crumble, or combine in unexpected ways.

The programme is inspired by Murmuring Matter, an exhibition by Radka Částková and Magdalena Šimurdová. It will show explorers of all ages that even everyday materials such as concrete, glass, tin, or wax have stories of their own. The afternoon will also include a creative art workshop in the studio.

The event is designed for families with children aged 5–12.

Admission to the workshop is pay-what-you-wish (recommended contribution: CZK 100 per parent and child).
