Lecturer Stanislava Kopecká takes a different approach, sharing real-life experience rather than theory. As a peer educator, she opens up about her own story, using her personal journey to explore the connections between childhood trauma, substance use, and the subsequent process of treatment and recovery.
Participants will be invited to see the world through the eyes of a child whose behaviour may be rooted in pain, trauma, or difficult life experiences.
The lecture will offer insights into how to recognise such situations, understand them better, and respond with sensitivity and respect – while also having the courage to seek additional help at the right time.
The session will also introduce available support services and provide useful contacts for anyone who may need further assistance.
